About the Author...
L.K.JONES
As a Vietnam veteran, Larry K. Jones became aquainted with conflict early in life. His emotional experiences in the Third World caused him to question the cultural prejudices that are routinely taught to America's children. This prompted Mr. Jones to seek new understandings and alternative approaches for resolving the world-wide human predicament.
This open-minded quest eventually landed the author on the magical shores of Puget Sound. There he discovered Huxley College of Environmental Studies at Western Washington University in Bellingham. The unique and innovative curricula at Huxley helped Mr. Jones to put his inquiring mind in order. He related the degradation of the physical environment with the political, ideological, and social issues of the day to construct a new, holistic vision for dealing with the persistant problems of a troubled world.
Upon graduation, Mr. Jones summed his experiences and education and recorded
his insights in the more popular novel format, with the hopes of promoting
the understanding and the consciencious involvement of average citizens.
Mr. Jones remains on the shores of Bellingham Bay, searching for the deeper
meanings in life, and working on the sequel to
"Summer In El Salvador."
Mr. Jones sojourned to El Salvador in 1989 with a caravan of missionaries, journalists, private citizens, and interfering government neo-cheaters.
This mentally, physically, spiritually, socially, financially, and emotionally challenging adventure will no doubt add to the excitement, adventure and emotionally revealing insight Mr. Jones has experienced, in the revelation to come in the continuation of Summer's infusion into the Third World and the price that is paid for poverty, due to the greed, anger and stupidity of the world's leading countries in their quest for power and control over the lives of all human beings.
