One collector asks,
"What is a Bitcoin?"

Our associate nonchalantly said, "It is a decentralized digital currency, that is the token used, to move and record information on the  Blockchain, which is the public ledger that records all it's transactions. It is a `virtual currency'." She looked at me, and we both looked at him, thinking,"That certainly was a mouthful, bet you wouldn't want to say that five times." Then asks, "Do they really exist, except in the Mario Brothers world of computers"? I said, "No, I don't think so." She then asks, "So what value does it have?" I said, "It ONLY has the value that WE give it. Today, people value it at $350.00 per coin, I may not have any use for it, but will buy all you have for $150.00 per coin." That's The Value! Since our speaker is to give a keynote presentation on U.S. Commemorative coins, classic and modern, we thought to quiet down to get started. So I gave her these links toIntroduction to Bitcoin, Bitcoin for beginners, Bitcoin De-mystified, and What is Bitcoin. These videos are a good start for understanding bitcoin & blockchain technology. You can read about what is going on around the world concerning this technology and governments' involvement and how it will impact banking and world currencies at the online news service of crypto-currencies,  Coin Desk.  In the meantime, while we get articles and comments contributed to our blog, you can see the Tozan Coin QR Code which represents the numbers and letters below it, and those of you who have `bitcoin wallets'  can scan this code or type/copy in the public key and send us a bitcoin donation.
